What is PPSU, and why choosingGrosmimi straw cups?

PPSU stands for polyphenylsulfone, which is the highest-performing thermoplastic, offering better durability and heat tolerance than PP and PES. PPSU is transparent, highly heat-resistant, and exhibits excellent hydrolysis stability. It withstands repeated sterilization and prevents odour and colour absorption. Naturally BPA-free, it is a safer and superior material for baby feeding bottles. Despite its exceptional durability, it is advisable to replace your PPSU bottles every six months for sanitation purposes.

Why choosing the GROSMIMI straw cup among others, several factors stand out:

  1. High-Quality Materials: Made from PPSU, the straw cup offers exceptional durability and heat resistance(up to 200ºC), ensuring it can withstand daily use and repeated sterilization.
  2. Safety Features: Being naturally BPA-free, the GROSMIMI straw cup prioritizes the safety of your child, making it a reliable first choice for moms.
  3. User-Friendly Design: The ergonomic design and easy-to-hold shape cater to little hands, encouraging independence as little children learn to drink from a straw.
  4. Hydrolysis Stability: This feature ensures that the cup maintains its integrity over time, preventing issues like odor or color absorption, which is essential for hygiene.
  5. Stylish and Functional: The transparent design allows parents to easily monitor liquid levels, while the variety of colors and styles appeals to children.
  6. Encourages Healthy Habits: The straw design promotes proper sipping techniques, helping to develop good drinking habits from an early age.

When does baby start to use a straw cup?

The best age to practice a straw cup is between 5 and 6 months of age though it may vary depending on the baby.

How many Feeding Bottles/Straw Cups do I need?

You will probably need to purchase a lot of bottles (at least 3 or 4) and you will also have to wash and clean them more frequently because your baby uses them multiple times each day.

For Feeding Bottles:

If you are breastfeeding, you will probably need only 2 or 3 baby bottles.

If you are going to mixed route (breastfeeding and formula feeding), you may need 3 to 6 baby bottles.

If you are going to formula feeding, you will probably need at least 4 to 8 baby bottles or more.

For Straw Cups:

Practice with 1 or 2 straw cups at first and then increase the number of cups as you need, prepare some extra 1 to 2 straw cups if you need them for formula feeding. If you need a cup to keep the contents warm or cold, we recommend a stainless straw cup with up to 6hours of thermal function.

How often should be replaced?

PPSU (Polyphenylsulfone) or PP (polypropylene) products such as a feeding bottle, straw cup, cap ring, and handle recommend replacing once every six months.

Silicone products such as nipples and straws are recommend replacing once every three months.

Replace your silicone straw right away when you notice any worn or broken signs.

Why babies need to use a weighted straw cup (Weighted Straw)?

Regardless of the baby’s posture, additional movements can be performed, so that the baby can drink easily even when sitting or lying down. Using a weighted straw is easier to drink than normal tube, we recommend to a baby who start to practice straw cup at first.

Why is the powdered formula leaking from the straw cup?

Our straw cup is leaking proof with a “+” cut design, which means the water/milk only comes out when baby sucks from it. If you put cold or hot beverage (above 40c), it may create backflows by the pressure difference.

–         Press gently with fingers around the air vales to deflate.

–         Remove the tube from the teat and mixed the contents then attached it(which also release some hot air out).

What are the differences between stage 1 and stage 2 straw?

Same ‘+Cut’ only different intensity between stage 1 and stage 2.

Stage 1 is suitable for a child 6 months above;

Stage 2 is suitable for a child 12 months above.

If your child under 12 months keep chews the nipple, it is recommended to replace from stage 1 to stage 2.

The stage 2 has no indication, only stage 2 is marked with 2 at the end of the convex part with the air valve, and the number inside is not a step mark.

The number 1,2,3,4 inside the part is the factory frame number from which the part is produced. (If it says 1, the part produced from the first frame)

For a straw nipple, the steps are indicated on the outside. (Stage 1 No indication. Stage 2 marked 2.)

Why is the handle rotating freely?

The 360ºC rotating handle is a unique design withGrosmimi. The handle is designed to rotate that the baby can easily change the direction of the bottle while feeding, andto protect their hand wrist when the bottle is filled with water and heavy when they walk around with it.

Is the cap/replacement straw compatible with my straw cup?

Grosmimi products are all compatible with each other. You can choose any cap type on your current bottle (feeding bottle/straw cup), and the replacement straws(stage1/stage2) are compatible on any Grosmimibottles(feeding bottle/straw cup).

Can you please recommend capacity of the bottle?

It is recommended to use a 200ml bottle if the baby is first using a straw cup or if you only use water.

It is recommended to use a 300ml bottle if the baby get used to use a straw cup or if you use it for milk, formula,  and other drinks.
